RN Produces KALW's Sights & Sounds of East Oakland

Sights & Sounds of the East Oakland is a project from KALW public radio that celebrates the arts and creativity of our vibrant, diverse region through audio and multimedia storytelling, community media training, and live events that bring communities together.

As the producer of the live events, it is critical to me that we celebrate East Oakland for East Oaklanders first. So often Oakland in general and East Oakland in specific, goes without the accolades it deserves. The region is one that quietly turns out some of the best and brightest the world has to offer in artists, thought-leaders, athletes, and the like. Sights & Sounds of East Oakland recognizes them.
